What the Barometer checks

AI answer engines can't read between the lines. They reward pages that state things plainly and factually — so a clean sentence can be lifted straight into an answer. The Barometer scores six fundamentals that decide whether that happens:

  • Answer-first opening — do you lead with the point, or bury it under a wind-up?
  • Clear, concrete facts — real specifics an AI can quote: what you do, where, since when, how many.
  • Questions & FAQ structure — clean question-and-answer pairs are the easiest thing for an AI to reuse.
  • Plain self-identification — does the page actually say who and what your business is?
  • Scannable structure — short paragraphs, headings, and lists, not walls of text.
  • Plain, jargon-free language — buzzwords describe everyone, so they help an AI recommend no one.
